Research Before Writing

Content grounded in chiropractic research — not marketing copy.

Every substantive Stratum page is built on real chiropractic research — outcome studies and evidence-informed clinical literature. Before a single sentence is written, the relevant research comes first. The writing is built on top of the evidence — not the other way around.

The Research

A chiropractic-specific body of research — not the open web.

It's built from chiropractic and related clinical literature: outcome studies and evidence-informed philosophy. It is specific to this profession, which is exactly what most website content is missing.

How It Reads

Sources integrated into education a patient can actually understand.

Grounding content in research doesn't mean pages that read like a journal. Sources are woven into plain, useful explanations — written to be understood, with the citation there for anyone who wants it.

The card is a sample for illustration. On a real Stratum page the citation links to the specific source it draws from.

Can chiropractic care help sciatica?

Sciatica is pain that travels from the low back down the leg, usually when a nerve root is irritated or compressed. The goal of conservative care is to calm that irritation and restore normal movement before more invasive options are considered.

For sciatica related to a disc, non-surgical approaches such as spinal manipulation and decompression are commonly used to take pressure off the affected nerve and help people move more comfortably.1

Research Before Writing

The research comes before anything is written.

This is the order that matters. Most content is written first and dressed up with references afterward. Stratum does it the other way around: find the relevant evidence, then write the page on top of it.

01

Chiropractic research

Real clinical literature, not the open web

02

Find what fits

Pull the research relevant to the topic

03

Relevant evidence

Clinical outcomes, not scraped articles

04

Patient-friendly content

Written to be understood, not to impress

05

Citation-supported page

Sources integrated, readable, useful

Because the research comes first, the writing stays inside what the evidence actually supports — instead of starting from a marketing claim and hunting for something that sounds like it fits.

What It Never Does

Guardrails that keep the content honest.

Grounding content in research is only worth something if the guardrails hold. These are firm — not preferences.

No invented studies

If the research isn't there, it isn't cited. Nothing is fabricated to sound authoritative.

No generic scraped articles

Content isn't stitched together from random health blogs found on the open web.

No unsupported statistics

Numbers aren't invented for effect. Claims stay within what the evidence supports.

No dependence on YouTube claims

It draws on clinical literature, not whatever happens to be popular online.

The Real Difference

Research-grounded writing versus generic AI writing.

This is the distinction that matters. It isn't whether a computer helped write the page — it's what the page was built from.

Starts from a prompt

Generic AI writing

  • Writes from general training, not chiropractic research
  • Can invent studies and statistics that sound right
  • Reflects whatever is common online, including bad advice
  • No source behind the confident claim
  • Reads like every other AI health page

Starts from the research

Research-grounded writing

  • Starts from chiropractic research, not a prompt
  • Stays within what the evidence supports
  • Integrates real citations into the page
  • Built for this profession specifically
  • Written to educate the patient, not to impress
AI doesn't replace the research. It makes the research usable.
